About Atlanta PAL

The Atlanta Police Athletic League involves the community.  PAL is a cooperative effort of dedicated Atlanta police officers, a Board of Directors and Atlanta's businesses and citizens. PAL is funded by both public and private contributions. All funds raised for PAL support activities for youth who participate in the program.

Our Mission

The Atlanta Police Athletic League is a non-profit public benefit corporation. Its mission is to provide a safe environment for youth to reach their full potential, through partnerships with police and community; utilizing athletics and other programs which are geared to improving the quality of life of its participants. By promoting confidence, self-esteem, civic engagement, academic achievement, and social principles, this program will aide them in becoming productive members of society.

Purpose

PAL has been proven to get results.  There is a direct link between youth crime prevention and the PAL Program. Less privileged youth learn that they have the mental and physical resources to overcome any obstacles to achieve success. They also gain the reward of feeling that they are an important and a valuable part of their community and city.
